Most float rods are 3-5m when extended but much shorter during transport since they are telescopic. 3m is a good length for smaller children or fishing in small streams. 4-5m lets you reach further from your fishing spot and is the most common choice. There are also longer rods and carbon fiber options for more specialized float fishing. Don’t forget to check if a float rig comes with the rod or needs to be purchased separately!
