One of the first things you notice about the Guppie is the richness of detail in the color patterns. Up until now, these colors have only been available on the hand-painted wooden baits made by Joe Peterson.
Strike Pro and Catch With Care, in collaboration with Peterson, are now bringing these unique colors to the masses for the first time. The color scheme includes a combination of color or glitter on the inside of the bait's transparent body, which is a unique process, along with traditional coloring on the outside. This mimics Peterson's technique of layering color between topcoat layers to achieve a 3D effect. Strike Pro has also recreated the distinctive 3D eyes that TrueGlide baits are known for.
In addition to the Guppie's fantastic finish, there are several unique characteristics that make it a truly hot big fish lure. The Guppie's compact and convex body shape provides good hooking ability, with hook points always exposed regardless of the angle. The body's profile and shape also give the bait a substantial belly flash and a rolling action. The ability to easily switch between different types of tails, thanks to the innovative screw at the back of the bait, adds another dimension. Change the bait's character by switching to one of several available rubber tails.

Hook size is denoted by a number. The higher the number, the smaller the hook. Size 30 is a tiny hook, 4 is significantly larger. If there’s a zero after, e.g., 2/0, it’s even bigger. The higher the number before the zero, the larger the hook. We have a range from the smallest hook, size 30, to our largest, 18/0.
