Savage Gravity Stick Pintail 14 cm [15 g] 6-pack

Description
A slim profile, long casting series of soft baits with high specific weight. All baits feature a rattle slot in the body plus an insert weight slot in the tail area to add even more distance to your cast if needed. The nose of the baits is perfectly designed for easy rigging on our small lifters. The back of each bait has a recessed slot for our 6/0 weedless hooks, plus a hook guide entry on the belly for precise and easy rigging. Pintail - a versatile bait in twitchbait style that comes to life on a jerk/pause/jerk but also swims with a subtle S-curve on a fast to medium straight retrieve, and then a very subtle "no-action" on a slow retrieve. The tail has a fantastic secondary action on the drop where it shakes and shimmers - hold on! Pulsetail - offers a very subtle and realistic pulsating tail action on a simple straight retrieve, where the bait's body intentionally has a "no-action" profile while the tail seductively pulses all the time. The Pulsetail swims perfectly at a variety of speeds and also works on the drop where its subtle shakes and pulsating tail can really entice the fish! Paddletail - a straight retrieve provides a very lively kicking and rocking motion along the entire length of the bait. Paddletail is designed to pair with Pintail and Pulsetail, displacing enough water to drive the fish wild but can still be fished very subtly if needed.

Jig head size

What size jig head with hook should I use?

Here’s a simple guide for those wondering which jig heads with hooks fit which jig lengths. What determines the jig head to use is the hook size, as it decides where on the jig body the hook exits. Then you can choose different weights for the jig head depending on how deep you want the jig to go, or shapes that suit different fishing methods better.

There are also other types of jig heads without hooks, called 'Screw-In-Heads,' often used in pike fishing, where the smallest sizes fit jigs from about 13-14 cm and up.

Hook size (multi)

Hook size is denoted by a number. The higher the number, the smaller the hook. Size 30 is a tiny hook, 4 is significantly larger. If there’s a zero after, e.g., 2/0, it’s even bigger. The higher the number before the zero, the larger the hook. We have a range from the smallest hook, size 30, to our largest, 18/0.
