The word 'Haku' means 'search' in Finnish and the Rapala X-Rap Haku lives up to its name as it actively seeks out trouble with the big pike ladies with its cool attitude!
X-Rap Haku is built for tough encounters with big fish and is equipped with Rapala's unique 3R system, Titanium Release Rig with VMC Coastal Black hooks. Rigged for action, the hooks are positioned just like on a reyellowar jerkbait, while the rig lies recessed in a groove in the belly of the lure, to avoid snagging on seaweed and similar. Upon hooking, the wire rig disengages from the body, providing direct contact with the fish! This increases your landing rate as the fish has less chance to break free against the lure body. Another advantage of the rig is that it makes it easier to unhook the fish as the lure is not in the way.
Haku is an incredibly easy-to-fish lure that can be used for a variety of presentations and techniques. Haku can be jerked in traditionally or twitched, fast and aggressively or slowly with long pauses. When jerked in, the lure quickly turns to the sides in a nice side-to-side motion and during pauses, Haku glides far to the side. A couple of really fast cranks between stops mimic a fleeing baitfish and pique the interest of nearby predators.
X-Rap Haku has an incredibly nice hang in the water, which is deadly effective in pike hunting.
The 3R Rapala Release Rig System is built into the lure and disengages upon strike for increased chances of landing the fish.
The durable rig is constructed with titanium wire with approximately 45 kg breaking strength and features a solid connection ring, sturdy split rings, and premium VMC Coastal Black hooks, model 4551.

Hook size (multi)
Hook size is denoted by a number. The higher the number, the smaller the hook. Size 30 is a tiny hook, 4 is significantly larger. If there’s a zero after, e.g., 2/0, it’s even bigger. The higher the number before the zero, the larger the hook. We have a range from the smallest hook, size 30, to our largest, 18/0.
