Which spinning set suits which fishing depends on the rod’s casting weight and length. Rods up to 7’ with a casting weight around 5-20g are often a good choice for jig fishing for perch and zander. For pike fishing, rods around 8’ with a casting weight from 80g and up are commonly used. We’ve matched all rods with suitable reels.
